He makes me so proud

Earlier in the week I received an email from my father, who lives in North Carolina. He’s used email for years, and though I’ve received less than a handful of messages from him in that time (I haven’t sent many more, mind you), the email wasn’t what surprised me–rather, it was the fact that it was sent from his phone.

His message said he was heading down to hunt with my grandfather in Louisiana, and that he wished I could join them. Then, this morning, I received the following update:

I got a nice Doe yesterday afternoon, I had alredy passed on a couple of smaller ones.
Luv
Dad

I can live with the capitalization of Doe, but the use of “Luv” is just absurd. Oh, and he sent another email that acknowledged he’d sent the wrong picture. Here’s the one he intended to send (he loves taking pictures like this):
